Hello There!

I'm so glad you are here and wanting to get to know me a little more.

I hope we can partner together on your journey to confidence, understanding, healing, and intentional growth. I truly believe you landed on my page for a reason. I look forwarded to connecting with you.

My Story

Originally from California, I graduated from California State University, Stanislaus with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. I started my career as a police dispatcher before getting hired as a Deputy Probation Officer. Towards the end of my law enforcement career, it became more difficult for me to provide help to the community. I was seeing both first responders and the community struggling mentally and relationally. It wasn't too long when God pulled me away from law enforcement work to be a different kind of help for my community.

After fifteen years in law enforcement work, I completed my graduate studies in Counseling Psychology. at National University. I was blessed to complete my pre-licensure experience at Family Concern Counseling, a division of Youth For Christ Central Valley. Here, we partnered with Without Permission, a non-profit agency who advocates for survivors of human trafficking. Working with both non-profits allowed me to find my passion for trauma-focused care and how our experiences affect relationships.

Over the years practicing as a therapist, I have come to realize, this is what I was made to do. I am passionate about sharing joy and healthy relationships. I am motivated by helping people get to know the better versions of themselves. From my experiences in law enforcement and a practitioner, I believe one of the most important thing in life is RELATIONSHIP: with God, with Ourself, and with the World.

The bible writes, "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near."- Hebrews 10: 24-25.

My Clinical Training & Experience

My clinical experience and training includes work at Family Concern Counseling building relationships at local schools, churches, organizations, government entities, and other non-profits.  My pre-licensure work I trained with clinical supervisors with backgrounds in church and administration giving me a comprehensive skillset in conceptualizing family systems and psychological trauma. I have experience working with Asian Americans; diving into the work of cultural and religious harm. I am currently in the process of a certification in First Responder care.

Current certifications: Certified Clinical Trauma Professional-II (CCTP II) and Neuro-psychotherapist.
